In the womb, mother and baby move to the same heartbeat. Dancing with your baby is a natural extension of this vital rhythmic synchronization. Benefits: bonding more deeply with your baby, improving baby’s sensory-motor development, getting a low-impact aerobic workout, meeting other mamas/papas, and gaining confidence as a new parent.
In our KangaGroove classes, you will not only get lots of exercise, but also learn some easy funky dance routines that you can do with your baby. Review videos for all the dance routines will be filmed during class for you.
Two classes are held each Friday:
- KangaGroove Basics, from 12:30pm to 1:45pm, is geared for new/beginner dancers. We'll do fun, easy dances with an emphasis on moving in a soulful way, getting a workout and having a good time.
- KangaGroove Routines, from 2:00pm to 3:15pm, is geared for experienced dancers. We will learn some groovy routines that we'll do either as a flashmob or as part of a class performance/demonstration.
